CLUB HISTORY
HWJYFC celebrated its tenth anniversary in season 2009-2010. "The Hawks" started with just two teams but now provides football for nearly 200 local boys and girls, with teams ranging from under 7 to under 16.
Home games are played at Greenfields Junior school and Hartley Wintney FC.
The "Hawks" have a proud history and have won a variety of age group leagues and cups including, last season (09-10), the Bernard Burke Sportsmanship award. Whilst these acheivements are very pleasant, the main ethos of the club is to provide local youngsters with the opportunity to play football in a friendly and encouraging atmosphere.
In 2007, the FA awarded the club the Charter Standard award, made in recognition of the efforts and skills of its volunteer managers and assistants. Weekly training sessions, led by professional coaches, are run for all teams and matches are played at the weekend.
"The Hawks" are always keen to welcome new players, so if you are interested in playing or have children that would like to, please contact:
Club Secretary, Denise Wytcherley, on 01256 764939.
