The club is delighted to announce the return to Hartley Wintney FC of two former players, Steve Noakes and last season's skipper Jack Smillie.

Steve, a former Hartley player and Fleet Town skipper, has joined from Met Police. An experienced player with a knack for scoring goals, Steve can play across the back or in midfield.

From the Met Police website: Steve Noakes, a commanding and experienced central defender aged 30 years. Joined the Met. at the start of the 2010/2011 season. Captained Fleet Town for several years before joined the Met. Previous clubs include AFC Newbury and Hartley Wintney.

Jack Smillie joined Thatcham Town in the summer after turning down an offer to join them last November when our promotion aspirations were still high. The return of the experienced and classy midfielder is very welcome news as it provides excellent cover as injuries inevitably take their toll - midfielders Keiron Thorne and Michael Lee are both currently sidelined, and Nick Kingston recently returned from injury.

Welcome 'home' Steve and Jack.
